VINEYARD, WINEMAKING AND RECOGNITION The experienced hand of John Ellis, Hanging Rock Winery, has been put to work on this quality Shiraz. This was made evident winning a bronze medal at the Australian Inland Wine Show held in October 2001 at its first competition. This result was repeated the following year in 2002. The Bulga Wine Estates 2000 Shiraz was voted A Gold medal by consumers at the National Wine Centre. The basis for this award was on wine quality, presentation and value. The consistent quality from Bulga Wine Estates has again been displayed by our 2003 vintage, achieving a bronze medal at the 2005 Australian Inland Wine Show. TASTING NOTES Smooth chocolate and plum characters become apparent across the middle pallet combined with slight cherry notes at the top . Skilled yet subtle oak flavours compliment rather than dominate this wine allowing it to demonstrate its true fruit characters. The Bulga Wine Estates Shiraz is a wine that is ready to drink now or can be cellared up to eight years. HOW MUCH |
